Artists' Gallery Sunriver

I feel very fortunate to live in Central Oregon.  An incredible amount of inspiration from nature surrounds me.  When the weather permits, I love to paint on location, known as “Plein Air” painting.  I work in various mediums, but my favorites are pencil, pen and ink, and watercolor.  Every painting is an exploration.  It is essential to let go of perfection and enjoy the creative journey.

I grew up on a small farm in Oregon, surrounded by lands to explore, animals to love, and an artistic family to create with.  I learned to appreciate nature and its wildlife as a young child, and it stayed with me over the years and has continued to inspire me when I create my art.

Unfortunately, many have disconnected from nature and everything it teaches us.  All I am hoping for when you view my art is to be reminded of the beauty around you, to approach it with child-like wonderment, and to be accessible to explore and take in all it has to offer!
